Using regular oil for a gsr grinding tranny?
well a friend told me that i could use honda factory oil for my tranny. its grinding 3rd and fifth. he said since its thicker oil, it will make the grinding go away. just wanna know if this is a good idea? lemme know what you guys think. thx.

I'm not sure what your friend is comparing factory mtf to. But it is just 10-30 motor oil, that doesn't seem that thick to me. I had a gsr tranny that would grind at high rpm, I ran redline mtl. It seemed to help a little.

The aftermarket synchromesh stuff usually helps a bit with the grinding, but this is only a bandaid till you save up enough to rebuild your tranny with new synchros.
