Default Transmission Problem

hey guys my car a 1999 civic ex has been shifting weird recently when i shift the car feels like its applying the brakes, as soon as i shift it slows down and just today it started squeeling so do i need a new tranny or should i have someone go thru it? any ideas what it might be? my car has 140k miles on it and no grinds in the tranny and the clutch doesnt slip any advice would be appreciated thanks!

You ever noticed how east it is to get into your transmission to check it out? That is sarcasm by the way. Point is when they break they break. I just had mine repaired.


I agree with the Boney One and check your fluids but from the sounds of it the damage may already be done.

yep changed it today so far it fixed the problem!!! i just got the car i guess u can never assume the fluids have been monitored...
