So I recently bought an eg coupe with a b16 in it. All gears were ok except 3 rd u had to hit the exact spot to go into it. Last night wound second out went to go to 3rd and missed the spot. Now it seems to not really go into any gear downshifting. Car off goes through gears ok but sometimes still hits like a wall. 5th is fine no matter what. Goes in reverse and goes into first when u come to a stop. Sometimes will run through all gears, other times only other gear besides first that goes in is 5th or 4th. Think by hitting that wall preventing me from going to 3rd bent a shift fork? Any ideas very strange to me

 

sounds like a bent shift change or fork. pull it apart and inspect it.

 

Yea thats what I thought. But I don't do trannies I have to take it somewhere and see if that's the problem and If they can replace it for me
