shift issues
I've been having this problem hitting 2nd gear at high rpm. It feels like it hits a stone wall trying to go in. The clutch is a CC stage 2 with 8lb flywheel. I dont remember having this problem with the stock unit. I've replaced the fluid with GM synchromesh but it still shifts notchy. Its mostly smooth in lower rpm but has a hard time with 2nd and a slightly better time with 3rd at WOT. Could the synchros be worn down?
It has 130k on it. Im not powershifting it. BTW its an ITR trans USDM. Im going to replace the slave and clutch master and see if that helps. I've had problems before with them and they are not stock which could be contributing to my problem.
I will also drain it and fill it with good'ol honda mtf. How often do synchros go bad?

Hey, usually if you have a problem not going into gear, its a result of a bad synchro sleeve or a broken synchro spring that gets caught between the shift forks or the gear selector. Best thing to do is tear it down and look inside.
damn my b16 trans just broke the case lol. for some reason i cant get the bel;l housing to come apart. I took all the bolts out but cannot get the snap ring to unsnap, could this be the issue? A small chunk of the case cracked off but i think i can get it rewelded.
