Been covered many times on here and highly debatable. In my opinion..they are poor quality and will never have a place in our shop. Majority of them are not assembled correctly from the factory, the quality is nothing close to good, and the specs are off! Would rather spend more money and go for a more Quality unit like an M-Factory, Quaife or Wavetrac...depeding on your budget.

Before OBX's QC went to crap, I installed 40+ without issues.

For the past 2-3 years I'll only touch MFactory or Quaife with a preference towards MFactory. I've installed three of them so far and NONE of them required ANY shimming. Honda calls for .000-.004" clearance, I prefer .004-.008" in performance applications, all three MFactory LSD have fallen in .005-.006" with new bearings.

You still MUST check EVERY install, every time.

We do not install or sell OBX LSD's in our transmissions but we have removed several that have failed. For a helical LSD, Quaife, Wavetrac, and MFactory have the best quality. Over the past few years we have used the MFactory LSD and have never had a problem.

I do not sell or install OBX's anymore either. I accepted one earlier this month to install so I could see first hand if any issues were corrected. None were and it had too much runout as well as being improperly assembled.

Yes, changing your final drive will help greatly with acceleration (see the link to my thread in the sticky).

MFactory. Ratio depends on your power, tire size, and rev limit.

OBX LSD is terrible! You might as well leave your oem differential in. I had 2 OBX LSD's in my turbo GSR, both failed miserably!!! They seem to work at first, but then they just fall apart. I'm getting MFactory now.

I called Obx Racing Sports and talked to some guy named (PETER) and i was having issues that my passinger side axel was getting stuck theres OBX axle KIT for sale and i asked him will i have no problem putting the these axles in the tranny he told me no (600$) for the kit I wana know whats gonna happen if i really order this kit and if it fits then theres the problem i know i did the measurement on the Differentional it is off by .001MM on the passinger side so if your trying to stick the passinger side axle in you have to take it to a driveshaft shop and tell them to shave off .001MM off the passinger axle to make it fit smooth

I'm pretty sure buying those shitty axles isn't going to fix the problem. So don't waste your money.

They cannot make a differential with proper clearances, why would you risk even more of your money on axles from them? Chalk up the loss and switch to a quality LSD.
