Hello..

I got an Type-R LSD from a friend today, and I saw 3 teeth damaged.
is it a problem ? Should I give it back ?

I guess this is the final drive. Can i use mine ? ( '91 Integra LS cable-tranny)

Thanks..

You cannot use the ITR ring gear with your countershaft and you cannot use your ring gear with the ITR LSD. I do not know of any final drives available that will allow you to use the ITR LSD in your trans.

If your transmission is similar to the one on the right (89-91 B-series)..It will NOT work.

If it is like the one on the left. It can be used but, will require a new ring gear and countershaft for the correct fitment of your Type R LSD. You will also need to do a lot of grinding and use the correct differential bearings and shim.

This is an aftermarket B16 LSD. You should be able to reuse your Q1 FD set with it.

That is an OBX LSD. I highly suggest inspecting it before reassembling the trans.

Check the runout on it. Also take it apart and inspect the internals.
