Default lsd help

got a built b20v with civic type r tranny, was revving around 9000 in first gear the other night and went to shift to second when i heard a loud pop. motor still runs fine but car wouldnt move any faster than lke 2 mph. tranny still shifts fine no grinding noises but a small whirling noise is heard. clutch still works fine. pulled the tranny out n axles are good clutch n flywheel are good. pulled the tranny apart all the gears look fine splines look good on everything. so im thinking it has to b the lsd but im told that they dont go bad that often. is there any way to check the lsd without taking it apart? does it sound like that could b the problem???

yo, the same thing happened to me recently. my lsd in my b16 went out. yeah i was in first about to shift into second then there was a loud pop. my car was going so slow and the steering wheel felt like it was going everywhere. anyway, yeah we found out it was my lsd. my friend acutally tested it by spinning the spots where the axles went into the tranny and they were spinning freely. well it was like one side was and the other wasn't. all in all, its probably your lsd.
