Default LSD going bad?

Hi guys, I posted this in another forum, but want to post it here as well, hoping to get different pov.
Long story short, when turning, with or without pressing the gas, and in gear or not, my car would shake and making that popping. But if I go straight, nothing happen. Changed both axles today, its still does the same. Changed trans oil fluid, it came out white milky color. So the mechanic guy told me the differential could be broken. He recommended to change the whole tranny, it is cheaper than rebuild. I called my other mechanic and described what happened, he said just replace the differential. They have not yet pulling out the tranny, since they are closing for the day. I know it is hard to determine what exactly is the issue, but I just want to ask and see if anyone experienced the same.

It is a 95 Honda Accord with H22a swap, lsd tranny.

Thanks

Did you try to jack up the front end and spin the wheels manually?

We did lifted up the car and put it in gear. When that happen, no noises are made.

I used the Penzoil synchromesh. It was working great until that noise appear again. I just replaced another trans. Now everytime I let go of the gas pedal, I heard a clunk noise =\

The synchromesh fix the tranny, but since the lsd pretty much work when the wheel turn, so it need the sliplock.. Mine was clucking like broken axle too for years, I just put that the sliplock a month ago, it fix it.
