I bought a used 99si tranny with an aftermarket lsd (brand lsd?) it makes popping noises during slow sharp turns accelerating. I put 90w gear lube first and it did not click very bad but it would grindgoing in to fifth, swaped fluid and used honda manual tranny fluid and it clicks worse butall gears shift smooth. Its not the cv axles they are new ad they did not pop with the stock gsr tranny in. Is this normal?

 

try using gm synchromesh with lsd add.

Sounds like a Kaaz LSD.

75w90 gear oil with 1/3 tube os posi additive.

 

instead of changing the gear oil, you should just change the diff and get a Quaiffe!
