Default Ls integra tranny problems. Please help!

I have a friend with a 95 ls teg and he is having trouble getting it into gear. When I drove it his clutch seemed fine it was just hard to put it into gear. I did notice that his pedal was really short, as in it only took 2-3 inches to push it all the way in. Also, he said it is way worse when its cold. After it's been drivin for a bit it shifts smoother. I had a 300zx with the same problem and it was fine after we changed the slave cylinder. He thinks its his clutch but I just wanna put this out here if anyone has had the same problem and what it may be before we go replacing anything or paying for a shop to check it out.

Thanks!

Does the pedal move 2-3" from where the clutch engages to the floor, or from the top of the pedal fully extended down to the floor?

Is the pedal adjusted properly if it only moves 2-3" fully extended? Or is there a leak in clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, or clutch line causing this?

So I just got a chance to really look at it and there is a major leak. The master cylinder is dry and there is fluid on and around his pedal. The pedal is right behind the slave cylinder correct? if anyone has some links to a lay out of the clutch system that would help a lot, I'll look around as well. I'm too lazy to go buy his manual FOR him.....

Thank you mucho

That's the master cylinder. They're pretty simple to replace... just a PITA due to the location because you have to get in up under the dash.
