Default How engine-specific are B-series clutches?

I have a b16a I need a new full clutch kit for, and I found a couple kits I liked, but they were all for b16a2s, or b16s from the 94-97 integras, or 93-95 del sols.

I know honda is pretty specific with certain parts, and i've heard they change the spline styles all the time. Do i need to find a clutch kit for specifically the 92-95 b16a, or will any work.

(If it changes anything, I'm getting all new clutch, plate, and flywheel)

Do you have a hydraulic tranny? Or cable?

If you have hydraulic trans, you can use almost every clutch from a B-series.

My 97 b16a2 have exactly the same clutch as a Integra R and CR-V (97-01)

Just dont get one for a 90-91 Integra or older gen B16 trans. They are small spline and will not work with your set up.

It's a hydro, so for example, the 99-00 b16a2 should work just fine then?

The only time the spline count was changed was in 92 which has the same splines as all of the hydro b series made until the k series came.

91 and older uses small spline
92 and up use bigger spline

You really don't have to order specifically for your car

yep...you can even use 92-93 integra clutch kit except the throwout bearing has to be changed. I'm actually using a pressure plate from 94 GSR on my 90 integra and just bought an OEM replacement clutch disc for a small spline.
