Default gearing?

Is it possible to have a 4.7FD and still do 3500 rpm in 5th gear with a gsr trans? If so what does it take? thanks

Close. LS 5th would get you close to it. More like 3600-3700 depending on tire height....

It would have to be custom made, likely only Jamie Houseman would be capale of doing a one off unit. I know he made a .600 5th years ago, the price back then was over $600.

Lower RPM doesn't mean better economy...

As Bone said Houseman is the only place to get one custom gear made. How long will it take you to make up the cost in fuel savings (especially if you get worse mileage)...

Ummmm... you can do 3500 rpm with almost any transmission and engine combo.

The big question is... what MPH are you shooting for at 3500 rpm?
