Difficulty shifting into first and then second
Hello, from stationary, it feels notchy when shifting into first gear and a bit difficult shifting into second once rolling and it is also worse when the car is cold, however all the other gears are fine. My trans oil has not been changed in about 22000 miles so im going to start with that, but if it was my oil wouldnt it be difficult in all gears?
There is also no noise/grinding/crunching from the gear box at all.
Engine + trans has about 150 000 miles on it.
There is also some difficulty when down shifting to these gears also.
Just wondering what the other possibilitys are, maybe clutch, master cylinder, save cylinder or in actual fact the gear box.
Thanks

I kinda have the same problem. Only when i am sitting with the car running and i go to put it in first is starts moving sometimes with the clutch pedal pushed to the floor. could that just be like an air bubble in the line? Maybe dirty Fluid? If so, what is the best way to flush all the old fluid out and put new in?
how old is your clutch? have you EVER serviced your transmission internally before? seems like it COULD be your sliding hub assembly, or your shift fork had worn down to some degree.
since it seems to be temperature related like u said, my best guess is it's something internal...shud do all the visible check first anyhow to rule out everything else like worn out clutch, leaking clutch pump, etc...after a while oil sludge could be accumulating and jamming this small cylindrical rod called shift piece shaft which is supposed to be able to move smoothly thru its assembly...its serviceable, but u hv to open up the gearbox, find it and clean it...
not sure if this diagram comes out or not, if it does, it's item 3 & 8:

My EP does the same thing when it is cold.
I believe it is related to the Hydraulic system. Only when it is cold and low gears. Try flushing the fluid and bleeding the fluid.
