Differential Problem quick ?
I think I have narrowed my problem down to the diff. But just wanted to know if the diff is going bad could it make shifting notchy?
I have noticed a clicking noise every now and then only when rolling. everthing i'v searched says its either bad inner cv axles or the differential bearing. It is louder when cold outside and I hear it more often. It does seem to come and go though. I also have changed the axles about a year ago now and replaced the clutch about 4 months ago.

The axles are not torn or anything. and it doesnt have the clicking, poping noise when turning. only noticable really when slowly moving in first gear.
Its a 97 civic ex. 5 speed.

It almost sounds like a gear spinning. like a low pitch growl. I did put the car on jack stands and ran the car through all gears and there was no sound. so I believe it only makes the sound only under a load. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm trying to
find out if it is my axles or tranny.
