I just put in a new manual trans i bought off a guy with 80,000 miles on it. Trans was good. On my old trans my input shaft went so me and my buddy put in a new trans. i have a 92 eg hatch with a D16 motor and trans. after everything was good and ready to roll, my buddy started up my car and put it in first...he moved up in my dirveway then reversed a little. Everything seemed fine. He put back in first and tryed to move the car back up my drive way when suddenly it felt like the car just dropped in neutrual. we went threw all the gears and nothing happens it wont even stall when you let out the clutch. The clutch was replaced bout 4 months ago so its not that. The weird thing is, when we put it in the air, still no movement in the tires. I tryed to rotate the passenger side tire and it turned about two quarters of the way and locked up. you cant even spin it at all. the driver side spins fine when i spin with my hands. Anyone no what may be the problem???? I filled with trans oil and everything so dont ask if i put it in.
