trans not coming off

Default trans not coming off

i kno this is a honda forum but its a general question my buddy just got a clutch for his sentra. and we pulled every bolt off and the trans is still stuck on the motor we tried praying it off and everything we can think of. and just pulling off the starter was a pain in the a$$ like it was fused to the trans and help will be great thanks.

Does it have some kind of Dowell pins holding it on? Possibly the shift fork stuck? Not sure how a Nissan is put together, but just throwing some ideas out.

we have the helms but doesnt tell u how to take off the tranny only the clutch

take a sizable rubber mallet and hit the trans in all areas where the motor and trans connect. you can hit it hard because the rubber mallet wont damage the aluminum. this should loosen the rust enough to rip it apart. if that doesnt work try a blow torch.

you could also spray penetrin oil in the area where they connect then smash away.

double check if it has a lower dust cover plate. I've missed these before seeing how they bolt to the tranny and the block. those little ones always slip past sometimes.
