Default D15 vtec trans

Hey,

So I'm nearing the completion of my Vitara D16Y7 and am in need of a trans. I have searched all around my area to find a Y8/Z6 trans but haven't been able to find one. I have contacted a JDM importer in my area and he has a D15 Vtec trans for sale for $300 CND. I have a few questions regrading the differences between the D15 Vtec trans and the Z6/Y8 trans. First off, will it bolt up fine? I know that the Z6/Y8 trans is a direct swap for my Y7 trans but not to sure about this one. Next I'm not sure about axles, can I re-use my OEM Y7's? Is this trans of a B000 designation? Also if you have any other info on this trans it would be great to hear it.

Thanks in advance,

-Ben

Default Re: D15 vtec trans

Ask the seller if the tranny is B000.

A TRUE D15B VTEC tranny has the same ratios as 92-95 Civic/Sol Si with .750 5th. Assuming it is a P20 tranny it will bolt up except for on little clutch cover bolt.....which the engine to tranny brace would hold in place anyways....if you decide to keep it.

TRUE D15B VTEC = 92-95 Z6 Si tranny
