Clearance on LSD

Default Clearance on LSD

i just went to measure the clearance to the shim and the bearing on the lsd with the cassing closed and there is no gap with the existing shim. would this be ok or does there need to be a gap?

It's going to be really hard to stick such a thin feeler in there...prop the case open enough to get a .0015 or .002 in there, close the case, seat the diff into clutch housing again, tighten bolts, and check the feeler.

It's OK to have ZERO clearance, but zero clearance also could mean it's WAY too tight. I always set mine to .0015.
