Default CB7 Torque Convertor

Hello Guys, I,m a newbie to the Forum having just bought a very old but very well preserved Accord exr 1990 vintage. Everything works perfectly but there,s a fairly loud whine from the auto transmission in 1st and 2nd gears - seems to go away in 3rd and 4th. No ecu coded warnings.
I,ve been told that it,s a Torque Convertor problem, worn seals etc and plan to haul the box out soon to have a look.
Has anyone come across this problem before - Should I be looking further than the Torque Convertor ???

The noise could be from the converter, pump gears, or gear whine. Usually when you have this kind of noise there is wear internally and the transmission and converter will need to be replaced or rebuilt.
