Default Can anyone confirm this works on my Accord?

Can anyone let me know or give me a good idea how to search out the proper lock-up solenoid part number for my 1997 Honda Accord LX, 2.2L with AT? VIN # is JHMCD5635VC013783. I'm getting a CEL for DTC P1758 (see my earlier post for details, if you want). I called and got a price from my local dealer who said that there were different solenoid part numbers based on a car's place of origin, and as u can see by the VIN, mine was built in Japan.

I've asked the seller at the ebay address below to confirm his part will fit my car, but I got a message saying they wouldn't be responding or even processing orders until April 14

Honda Transmission Lock up Solenoid fits 4-Cylinder OEM # 28300-PX4-014 (99200) | eBay

Thanks

The Honda-tech community's response has been overwhelming :sarcasm:

In the meantime I've continued to do some search. I was almost convinced that the Honda part I needed was 28300-PX4-014. The profile of the casting of the one I took off my car looks like what's pictured here:
Amazon Amazon

However, I called Majestic Honda, and their parts guy insisted my Japanese-built car is supposed to have 28300-PX4-003, which is pictured here:
Amazon Amazon

The casting of mine does not have those raised corners near the solenoids that are on the one in Amazon's pic for the -003. However, Amazon's pics are consistent with what the google image searches average out to be. Even some ebay listings list one of the part numbers but have a picture of the box with a different part number.

The two similar Accords at my local LKQ pull-a-part yesterday that still had the lock-up solenoid on them had VINs that start with '1'. The solenoid on them looked like Amazon's picture for 28300-PX4-003, so can anyone understand why I'm confused. Is Amazon's pictures swapped, or is there a chance that the wrong one got put on my car during the previous ownership? They did install a used transmission in the car while they had it.

Again any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response. I had already checked Rockauto, but it didn't really give any clarity as to which lock-up solenoid was for my car. I called a local independent repair shop that are Honda specialists, called Bryant Brothers Automotive and Performance (Bryant Brothers Automotive & Performance - I'm only plugging them cuz they helped me at no charge), and they are highly regarded in my area. They echoed what the two dealerships told me about which solenoid originally came on my Japanese-made Accord (the -003 one), but they did contradict what one dealership told me. Bryant Brothers said that the transmission from an American-made '97 Accord would bolt right up to my '97 Japanese-made Accord's drivetrain; however, the dealership said it would not.

I was more apt to believe Bryant Brothers, and this told me that the previous owner may have put a trannie from an American-made Accord. My hunch was confirmed when I found a solenoid from an American-made 1996 Accord at an LKQ that was identical to mine. Its odometer was in the neighborhood of around 130k so I felt it was probably the original transmission. There were some other American-made Hondas a couple of rows over that had the other style (-014) lock-up solenoid, so that tells me that the two style solenoids are either interchangeable or those Accords had used trannies from Japan in them or that Honda switched the style between American-made model years.

The new-to-me solenoid is working well so far after a couple of drive cycles (the DTC has not returned) and my car doesn't seem to have as much of an awkward 3-to-4 shift delay that it's had since I bought it. Yes, I know the TCC is only for locking up the TC when cruising, but I can't explain it. I just think that old solenoid had been weak for awhile.
