Okay its an M2Y4, the symptoms are:
Noise when moving, goes away when clutch pushed down.
Noise is defintely a harsh scraping.
Engine feels "bogged down" against the trans.
When the car is started no noise at all, regardless, until moving.
Clutch chatter, and not engaging until top of pedal.
Happened very quickly. Had the typical ISB noise for about a week. All of the sudden, felt a pop, and heard a clang, then it felt wonky. Only made it 3 minutes home, and havent drove since.
Just want to try to get a diagnosis, because I've had 2 bad ISB's on D series before, and it was just a dull growl and never this harsh, and they trooped on just fine for a long time.
As of now car is going for trans replacement, but could that be anything else? or anything less? I dont want to take it in, and say I need a trans, because even if it's some lesser issue, its a shop...they'd replace the trans anyway.
Thanks.
