Default Affordable LSD options

I don't have time at the moment to spend a whole day goose hunting and am hoping someone can throw some ideas at me.

I'm looking at possibilities for an LSD in a D series trans for snow and bad weather purposes only. This car should never see a racetrack, but it must survive at least 200k miles. The engine will be bone stock 100 hp max. Is there anything half affordable that may fit the bill for a light duty application?

Links, or ideas would be extremely helpful. Thanks

Look into Qualife LSD's..(I think that's how it's spelled), I;ve heard nothing but good things about them in the various Honda Applications i've seen them used.

MFactory is the cheapest and best quality. Quaife is the most expensive with slightly lower quality, and OBX should not even be considered.

I do not agree.

OBX all the way for the "on the cheap" route.

Mines been BEATEN with over 650WHP for a good while (I DID change out the Washers with higher quality ones however). They may be hit or miss, but with a propper breakdown and looksee, they are FINE... Theres enough info about it floating around to where Im not going to get into it here.

In addition we got a M-factory diff for Urban Indians Coupe and the diff had to be turned down to get the bearings to fit. Fact... He tried to get in touch with them... But we elected to just deal with it locally so we wouldnt have to have the car down any longer than need be.

Not to say thiat its an ongoing issue with their diffs, but it happened, everyone can have QA issues

MFactory has not had that problem with any other diffs. If he had contacted me (I sold him the LSD) he would have had another sent to him.

The problem with the OBX isn't just their poor parts quality and construction, but their runout and customer service once you find the runout problem.

Ya I didnt have runout on My OPX , so I cant speak on it first handedly. You've always been stand up man.... We just decided to fix it as he wanted it over with. Theres NO doubt in mind you would have taken care of him...

OBX here.

Had mine for 1 year now. Used for mainly autox and tracking only. I did the field strip and replace the spring and bolt.

OBX = Cheap and affordable

ONLY reason they are still in business is CRE/OPM didn't push the patent issue.

John Brown dropped his lawsuit for slander against me when I presented the info to his lawyer at the deposition.

Kaaz #1611 is NLA, I'm trying to find a clutch set for mine that I just sold. Kaaz USA has not been helpful, I guess Ray is no longer there.

MFactory is the best "value" when you compare quality and fitment. It may cost a little more than OBX but is well worth the extra expense.

I've raced and have both a Quaife and Kaaz. I like them both, have had no issues with either of them but they are expensive. I just wished that MFactory was around when I bought mine.

...and I'm not one to buy something cheaper with the hopes that mine is the one that doesn't have problems. The cost and time of rebuilding a tranny far exceeds any price savings.
