Houston - 1994 Honda Prelude race ready shell - Black
For sale:
-1994 Black Honda Prelude VTEC shell
-VIN:JHMBB1176RC001524
I doubt anyone on here would remember this car, but it’s finally time for me to say goodbye. It was unique and quirky in its days and I was able to accomplish all my goals. My priorities have changed and I will never have the time to put this car back to its former glory. For anyone that’s a Prelude enthusiast or looking for a nice race/track car, this would be a great find.
The shell is not ragged out or beat up even though it eventually turned into my race car. It was a street car in this trim for quite some time before I decided to make it into a track car. Either way, whoever buys it won’t be disappointed in the condition. Enough rambling, specs are below:
Engine Bay:
-Painted black and clear coated, still glossy and in great shape
-Engine harness was extended and perfectly intact
-Battery was relocated to the trunk of the car (battery box included) and fuse box tucked inside the passenger airbag compartment (still intact)
-OEM Fuel line was adapted to use a -6AN fitting for braided lines
-Walbro 255 fuel pump in the tank
-Shift cables included
Suspension: (about 5K of street use)
-Complete 5th gen Prelude 5 lug conversion
-New OEM Front wheel bearings were put in when I did the conversion
-Energy suspension poly bushings front and rear (UCA/LCA/Trailing bushings)
-Ingalls front camber kit
-Custom traction bar (Will come with stock cross member & radius rods)
-Steering rack was gutted properly to remove PS system
Brakes: (about 5K of street use)
-Full 5th Gen prelude brakes
-Prelude Base “S” brake lines/proportioning valve were put in to get rid of ABS system
-Braided SS brake lines front and rear
-New OEM replacement master cylinder
Interior:
-All interior panels are still intact (I believe I still have the black carpet in the storage)
-Forbidden short shifter
-NRG Short hub
-Bride seat rail (Driver side only)
-Welded in roll cage (welded in on the rear shock towers)
-Dash cluster and controls are all intact and working
-Windows are also intact and working
Exterior:
-JDM front bumper support (this is very hard to find if you are in the know)
-Everything is intact minus the hood (although front and rear bumpers have scratches/dings)
Condition:
-Body is straight, never been in an accident
-Has dents/dings/scratches consistent with car’s age
-Paint is still glossy, except on the roof/sunroof
-Moldings are still intact and not deteriorating besides the rear window molding
-I do not remember the mileage on the body, but it was under 200K.
Things missing on the car:
-Hood
-Headlights
-Front seats
-Steering wheel
-Wheels
-Suspension
-Everything engine/swap related and engine support systems
-ETC ETC, it’s a shell so you’re bound to have little things missing, this is all I could think of for the moment
Extra things that will come with the car:
-Extra set of silver doors (driver & passenger)
-AC Condenser
-Radio console
-Blue rear seats (Won’t work unless you cut out the roll cage)
-OEM Black carpet
-MISC parts that I can find
Price:
$1200.00 picked up in Houston, TX
Since the car does not have wheels or suspension, it is the buyer's responsibility to figure out and take care of transporting it back. I will have the car pulled out onto the driveway ready to be trailered.
