Default Zex bottle Warmer use

Just got myself a used zex bottle warmer. I wired it in, put it on the bottle, and turned the bottle/warmer on. The warmer got very hot, very quick, then clicked and turne off. It turns on and off. Is this normal? What temp/psi does it bring the bottle to? And how quickly? Thanks

that sounds normal too me, if it gets too hot it will blow the a fuse, if you have the correct amperage fuse. The zex heater has dual thermostats, meaning it will heat the bottle up until the pressure gets to 900 psi. then turn itself off or just sit and wait for the bottle to get cool again. double check that you;ve got it installed correctly, remember the orange block on the heater is the heating element, then the heat is radiated throughout the heater through the contacts inside the blanket area. it should never get too hot to touch, if it is then something is wrong. remember N20 bottles have burst disks, so if the pressure gets too much the burst disk will blow and all the nitrous will escape, but its better than blowing up a bottle.

Just called zex, they said its normal for their older heaters to cycle more frequently like that. and that im looking at about 30 min to get the bottle to 900-950 psi. Im running an inline 30 amp fuse for the power lead to the heater and zex guy said the heater has an internal relay, so its not needed. Any further adivice would be great.

yea its normal....it doesn't regulate by psi it acts off bottle temperature. 87 degrees i do beleive which with a full botle should take you to around 1000 - 1050psi (perfect operating psi)
