Default zeitronix datalogging help

everything is plugged up correctly. wiggled the cables and everything. the display is working but the dataloging program on laptop doesnt read anything. my comm port says its connected to COM% but the zeitronix program only has an option of selecting COM ports 1-4. what to doooooo..

what com is your serial on the laptop?
look that up and match with the zietronix softaware maybe

Laptop is COM5 but zeitronix only goes from 1-4.

change the com on the laptop to 1-4
do to device manager and you can change it

nevermind. figured it out... old modem was using COM1 and just disabled it.
