actually they made the ZC until 2000 so finding one for the 92 hatch is not impossible.

The motor you have is from the 92-95 civic. While they do have single cam ZC motors If this code is on it then it would not be one.
explain your definition of a ZC more plz.... not bitin on ya but the only zc's i know of are:
-old brown dohc top zc's that drop in 1st gen crx/ 3rd gen civics
-blacktop doch zc for 2nd gen crx/ 4th gen civic
-and the elusive euro sohc zc for crx/ 4th gen civic....

Lemme offer you some help.

The d16z is rated by Honda to make 125. It will bolt right into your car. If your car has a factory tachometer, its wired for vtec, if its got a factory sunroof too, its straight forward. If you have the tach only you have a vx which is a vtec engine but the o2 sensor wiring is different. If you dont have an si, youll need to add some wires and change the ECU to a p28 which is the ecu for 92-95 civic sohc vtec.

Since you said you have a blown chumaro Im assuming you just want to fix your civic. I would not pay more than 500 for that engine, unless its rebuilt, with a warranty. Thats the only way its worth 1100.

So basically it will bolt in, wiring may be and issue and it costs too much. I hope this will help you.

Hey thanks..... Actually im just tired of listning to the ls1 4th gen camaro guys make fun of imports....Since none of them can beat my camaro i figured id build a sleeper honda that can run high 13s ... which is why i wanted the sohc v-tech.. i figure they make alot of forged internals for it.. which means once i bu it i can swap in forged rods crank and pistons and new head gaskets... change the fuel mixture and run 100 shot of spray... with 200 hp i figure i should be close to high 13s in the little hatchback. right?Oh and that motor is 1095.99 it comes form JDM with the ecu and motor.
