I have a 92 civic vx hatch and it has a z6 swapped into it. its throwing a CEL for vtec oil pressure switch and I can not get it to go away. my oil level is fine, there is a new gasket on the solenoid, and I even tried hard wiring the pressure switch right to the ecu, but its possible I did that wrong. anybody have any ideas or know what else to try? thanks.

fixed it, but now I have a code 6... which I had before the vtec CEL. hmmmm ...

bump.... still have a code 6 for ect sensor. will this cause vtec to not work?

 

Yes, and what colors are the wires going into the sensor. Do you know which sensor is the ECT sensor?

 

off the top of my head I'm not sure... when I first got the car running, it was throwin a 6... and I could NOT get it to go away. and idk what I did but one day the code 6 was gone and I had a code 22 for vtec pressure switch. the wierd thing about the 22 is it would go away sometimes while I was just driving. so I hard wired my vtec to the ecu and it started throwing the 6 again.... WTF?!?!?!?! do these sensors share a common ground at the ecu?
