iam building both a y8 and z6 head right now on seperate cars and i noticed the y8 combustion chamber is the crappiest design ever. the y8 head is just hot spots waiting to happen. but yeah i know my d-series info and i know the y8 is what they all want for the 11.1 comp. but jesus the cc is so restrictive i cant belive it. but yeah just wanted to start a friendly conversation on theroy of cc's.

 

i don't know very much about heads... but i thought the y8 head is good because it's square. it helps to ignite the fuel by having a better quench area. i dunno, i just believe what i hear

 

the quench area is crappy
it has no room to breath.

 

umm...i waiting for april fools...dude, the y8 head is the best sohc head design yet. the y8 cc design is the best of all the d series motors ...its cc provides the best quench area...

Yeah, I hear the CVCC head is TBA. Wait for the new FF-Squad site to debut. They all went to 70's Civics with the CVCC engines.
