i no this doesnt have to do with drag racing but i had to show people what used car dealers do to cars just to save a buck!! this is what i found in a guys car that i work with. its a 2000 honda prelude. it had a horrible noise behind the timming cover and i took it apart and this is what i found!! someone took the guts out of the timming belt tensioner and put a nut in the bottom and took a 1/2" extension and ground the side off it to ride on the tensioner pully!

theres even more to this story, this car was towed to our dealership and was diaged as a broken timming belt by a newbee. so the customer traded it in and it was sold to a wholesaler. they are who done this fix to the tensioner. they didnt even put a new belt on it. i think they got a used belt from the place they got a used head from because the head had been changed due to the tensioner going bad and the belt jumped and bent the valves.

i got screwed over when i got an eclipse wit al sorts of used broken parts they claimed was new and had warranty on and i eventually had to take it to a different shop to get it fixed

 

Used car dealers are in other words retarded.

 

Someone got realy talented, i didnt know craftsman make parts for hondas with life time warrenty.Just go to sears and tell them you want to warrenty the extension.
