I am trying to swap in a Obd 2 motor into an Obd 1 vehicle and i was wondering if there is a EGR valve in OBD 1 and not in OBD 2 or both... It is a 99 D16Y8 going into a 1992 Civic VX
sorry about the topic name

your d16y8 should not come with EGR, if it does simply skip wiring it. its not needed.
on OBDI cars EGR was found on d15z1, h22a, h23a and various F-series motors.
if you're planning on using the y8 motor its best to be used with a P28 ecu which does not look for EGR.
your VX uses d15z1, which came with an EGR. don't use the ecu its not really mapped for anything but good gas mieleage and low emission of gases .

what sherman is trying to do (im his friend) is put in a OBDII motor into an OBDI car but retain OBDI, but we dont know what to do about the EGR
we have 2 ECU. 1 EX OBDI ECU and 1 OBDII ECU (even though it looks completely different than my OBDII ECU) we have no conversion harness and dont want to spend the $$ for one

So what we need to know is if a 92-95 Ex Si (D16Z6) has an EGR or not. Also i was told that the distributor from a Z6 engine would work to convert the motor to OBD1. I have the Distributor but only one hole lines up. Will this sitll work? THanks
d16z6 does not have EGR.
for the distributor you can use a 92-5 DX dizzy which will bolt up without problem, swap your injectors, move the IAT to the intake. you should have no other major problems
or use a obdII reppined to to OBDI
