Default WRX lsd ???

Just want to know if anyone can explain this for me. I went to the 03 car show yesterday and got a good look at the new STI, WRX, and the EVO. Looking for a new project after the CIV is done.

The standard WRX has the LSD in the rear

The STI has the LSD in the front

What are the advantage's of either set up?

Why not LSD in the front and rear?

The new STi does have both front and rear limited slips (they call the system Suretrac), as well as a driver controlled center diff bias (called DCCD... Driver Controlled Center Differential).
