Is it worth it.....
MY problem is i have a bent rod. I have the engine stripped down and need to replace the #1 piston rod. Since I have the engine cracked open i was just gunna replace all 4 rods with eagle rods and the pistons with JE 12.5:1 pistons. The only problem is that will cost like $900 and I may not be able to finish the swap for a few more weeks. I wont be turbocharging it ever so are the eagle rods really necessary? Is the upped comp ratio worth the tons more id spend on them?? Thanks!

If you don't build it right, you'll regret it later. Besides, when's the next time you're planning on having your engine stripped down? Might as well get in as much as you can.
yes but if i spend the cash on the pistons and rods, i wont have enough money to finish the swap and my car will continue to be out of service.... its been in my garage for over 5 months now... I JUST WANT IT TO RUN!! And really, i mean i wont be turbocharging it and are the power gains of the 12.5:1 comp ratio really worth the $500??
