wiring question for vtec pressure switch
i have a code 22 on a b16a motor with obd1 p72 ecu. this setup worked fine with a 92 b16a (vtec worked fine). used to get code 22 only in 5th gear but now the CEL just stays on. only changed longblock along with dizzy, IM and TB.
i rewired my vtec switch, solenoid, and ground. changed solenoid twice, switch twice, compression test 195 all four cylinders, had wiring checked by a CEL diagnostic tool and 3 diff mechanic shops checked wiring and told me everything is in its place and that i have a healthy motor... basically its a stupid problem i cant figure out... if anyone can think of anything plzzzzz respond!!
now to my original question... i wanna make sure my green switch wiring is right cuz my buddy messed with it tryin to be a hero... i wanna confirm the destinations of the two wires coming out of the switch, the all black wire and the blue/black stripe wire. im guessing the all black is ground but just wanna 100%. thanks

just wanna make sure but i read sumwhere that automatic motors might cause weaker vtec because of their cams... now when i was swapping the second motor, i remember the mechanic saying the plate attached to the tranny side of the motor is for an automatic tranny which led me to believe that my motor was originally in an auto car. anyone have a clue bout this one?
That's called a flexplate, and no, that's ridiculous. Cams don't determine oil pressure, and if auto's threw codes for vtec, then all the auto EXs and JDM auto vtec motors would have been recalled. I seriously doubt that the auto has milder cams in the first place.
