Default wiring help!!!

i had an internal coil obd 2 dizzy converted to obd 1. but the wireing harness is made for the external coil. the car only runs when the external coil is pluged into the wiring harness. i think it is compleating the circuit. but the coil wire is not hooked up due to the internal coil on the dizzy. is there any way to fix this problem. i want to get rid of the external coil all together. and also my tachs do not work anymore. any ideas.

Circuit diagrams are what you need, check out what circuit has that external coil in it? Trace wires & find out...

are you still using the OBD2 harness? If so remove the OBD1 harness from the distributor and change it out with the OBD2 connector.

what color are the wires going to the external coil? you have to jump the wire at the clip to complete a circuit.i had the same prob with my h22.

try the blue wire for your tack signal that might work. or at the distributer there is a two wire plug the blue is the tack signal.

well that is what i thought, but ihad my dizzy converted from obd 2 to obd 1, so there is not teck wire from that. well no blue wire at least. well i know there has to be a nother wire that i can tap into. my vafc still show rpm's but i hate looking at the small *** screen. i like my moster tack.
