WIRING???????

Ok i have a problem. I have a CRVTEC. THe head is off a B16 and my problem is my VTEC cuts in and out. Usually if VTEC doesnt Work, I should recieve a code correct?! I have a Vtec Controller and i know its not the wiring from that cuz the Vtec has been acting up since before i got the VAFC, Does anybody body have a clue???????? I also switched ECU with my friend and it worked fine for a night and then it cut out again......please help!

what ecu you using? OBD2? and what are you setting your vtec engagement at on your vtec controller?

im using a 96GSR OBDll, I have the Vtec set at 4600......I know im getting a signal to the VTEC SOL. but im not sure where else to check for current!?
