Like the topic says, my Vehicle speed sensor went bad ages ago and i found someone that has a used one for 30 Dollars Shipped. The only problem is that it is for a y8 transmission. Will this work?

I think so. I swapped the VSS off a D16Z6 into a B16 tranny. It physically fit. Make sure the plugs fit. I guess the technical answer would be- are the final drives the same ratio? If so, it ought to work. If not, it may work but it'll be off by some amount which can be found by figuring out the difference of ratios.
I don't have that information, but you could check in the 92-00 FAQ topic? maybe?

i think its for an EG.. but it will fit, it has a black plug color but no plug that comes from the dash, i can try and get u a clip if ud like?
