d16z6 vss help please
my d16y8 vss does not match up with my d16z6 harness which i preety much thought it wouldnt so i looked up a vss for the z6 and everything that comes up says that the vss fits all these different models and engines including the y8 which i know it doesnt cuz i have the y8 vss and the z6 harness doesnt match so what iam suppose to do in was thinking about getting the vss plug from a y8 harnes and splicing it onto my z6 harness let me know what u guys think i should do

I would try to depin the y8 plug and put it on your car. Splicing in wires is not bad but if its not soldered I would not trust it.

All '92 - '00 Civic use the same plug for the VSS, either you're trying to plug the wrong connector into it, or the white plastic inner piece of another VSS connnector is stuck in the VSS. I'm currently running a Y8 tranny and VSS in a '94 Civic right now, plug is definitely the same.

It's probably the white spacer.
