Will this setup do the job?
I'm having a LS/VTEC built right now... had nice lil b16 in it before. Question is... am I gonna get what I'm asking for with this basic LS/VTEC setup in a gutted DA, lightweight...? I know I eventually want to upgrade cams, but not too crazy... and get Hondata, that's about it. I want to run high 13s on street tires and have some fun
B16 head
ITR IM,Crower springs/retainers,ferrea ss valves, 3angle,milled 30thou,GSR cams, SK2sprokets
B18A Block
ITR .25 pistons, Lightened crank pulley, stock everything else...
S1 tranny
ACT HDPP, 6puck
12lb factory flywheel
skunk2 p28...and the rest of the bolt-ons

get the head ported with some CTR cams or maybe skunk2 stage 2 cams... that should do the job. try to use a hondata or VAFC when you tune the car. CM flywheel would help you get through the gears faster also.
If you're shooting for high 13's, no telling depending on driving and skill you may be able to reach that goal. DA's only weigh somewhere around 2500-2600 lbs, so gutted I'm sure you could run the same or close to the times of LS/Vtec DC tegs. I would suggest going with a slightly more aggressive cam shaft though to take advantage of the ITR pistons and milled head- possible CTR's or Skunk2 Stg. 1
Good luck!
Good luck!
