Default will power steering pulley increase effort needed to turn wheel?

If I use just the Unorthodox or AEM power steering pulley will this increase the effort at all? Just looking for an alternative to taking the belt off.

In a previous topic someone claimed it increased effort at low RPM. However, one would assume that at any engine speed greater than idle (especially any RPM that would occur during driving), the effect should be eliminated unless it was some sort of riduclously small pulley being used.

Hi,

Search the ITR section for info on steering. They beat it to death, over and over. John
