Default Will it look for a knock sensor?

My friend has a B16A1 and so do I...how come his has a knock sensor and mine doesn't? Also since my block does not have a knock sensor will I get a check engine light? Reason I ask is because I am putting the B16A1 in my 94 civic ex and it will be using a gsr obd1 ecu...and i believe that ecu looks for a knock sensor...if it does I don't want to drive with a check engine light so how could I get rid of it?

just put a knock sensor in and wire it up. or get the ecu chipped to run w/o a knock sensor

why run a gsr ecu with a b16 why not use a chipped p28 which will eliminate knock or run a b16 obd1 ecu

You can get rid of the ''Check'' light on your dashboard by disconnecting the negative wire on your battery for 10 secs and putting it back on. It work for me when i unplugged my air temperature sensor on my intake.
-By disconnecting the negative wire on the battery, it simply resets the memory.

**Before you disconnect the negative, if you have a factory cd deck, be sure to have the Code# with you, b/c u'll need to punch it back in or else your cd deck is useless.

That's a good idea, I can't believe anyone hasn't thought of that yet. So all we need to do is unplug the negative terminal to get rid of any sensor problems.... The days of troubleshooting are over
