Default Will having a quick release fail you in smog tests?

just tore up my wires for my srs/airbags and such... steering assembly column cost 400 +!!!!!

A smog test is not a safety inspection. As long as all the emissions stuff is there and your tailpipe emissions are within the acceptable range, you'll pass.

I'm not sure if removal of air bags will cause a Check Engine light..

it WILL cause an SRS light though.


If you have a check engine light on.. yes it's AUTOMATIC failure in California

You won't fail smog for it, but you aren't legal.
