I just got a 94 d16z6 engine from a friend and want to put it into my 89 lx, however the 94 comes from an automatic, and the 89 is a 5 spd. I know that the d16z6 will bolt right in and work with an 89 tranny and i was told that all i need for it to work is my 5spd clutch, pressure p, and flywheel. I need to know if there is anything needed to be done to make this possible!!! Help i need some serious clarification fast here!!!

 

yes you can use the auto in the lx by using all the clutch components in the lx motor on the d16. you'll need a manual ecu also.
