so after some hard driving my car wouldnt go into gear/move in any gears. i assumed my clutch went out. so after spending all day putting a new clutch in, i still have the same problem; MY CAR WONT BUDGE!
i didnt replace or resurface the flywheel because it looked decent.
it makes a a slight whine when i put it into reverse but thats it.
WTF is wrong with my car; 94 LS

the axle was messed up inside of the boot so i couldnt really tell. it wasnt as obvious as a broken axle shaft.

How did you realize it was the axle? Did the whole axle not spin?? I'm only asking because I have a similar issue and I dont want to tear the tranny up. Mine is doing the same thing, but, when I jack up the car, I spin the wheel and it looks like the entire axle is spinning. not just a part of it (as if it were broken inside the joints or something). I dont want to replace the axles either if its the differential. So, I am just trying to make sure I take it on head first. Obviously, you know what a bitch it is when you fix something that isnt even broken. THanks.

i jacked up the car and let it idle in fifth gear. the passenger side axle spun up to the boot near the wheel, which did not turn. when i let it idle in first everything appeared to work but i knew it wasnt right. try stoping the tires from spinning and observe if the axles continue turning. or do what i did and idle it in fifth. im sure you will figure out a way to diagnose it. hope that helps .....
oh yeah and if your car doesnt run, just turn from the crank pully with a socket with it in gear. harder tho.
