wierd idle

From: on a rock in the middle of the pacific
wierd idle
specs:
93 civic auto converted to 5spd
96 gsr motor i/h/e
no check engine lights
car has been running fine for a long time
problem:
when cold the car idles low around 1,000 rpm
when warm it idles high 1500 rpm
everything checks out and it drives fine, idle adjust screw does nothing
solution:
Please help me H-T
