Default wideband & narrowband o2 sensor

I am wondering what is the differences between narrowband and wideband o2 sensors. thanks in advance!

narrow bands only read up to 1 volt and a wide band reads up to 5 volts. wide bands are much more accurate when tuning a car

But the cost? and compatability?
my o2 sensor is a little screwed was thinking of getting a wide band or stick with stock

Widebands need a controller of some sort (the stock ECU on the HX and VX take care of this - aftermarket WB's have a seperate controller box).

Stock 4-wire O2's do not need this. You could put these in a bench vise and with a propane torch you can make it output a voltage.

If you tried that with a wideband, the only thing it would do is get hot.
