Icon2 why so many b20 swaps??

whats the deal with b20 swaps am i missing something about this motor that makes it worth it? i dont get it.

i just got one myself.... b20 with vtec 94 gsr head, skunk 2 intake manifold, shortra intake etc... its awesome, plain and simple

They are severely underrated engines. They generally make the advertised horsepower but instead at the crank, they make it at the wheels.

ill tell you why, peak torque at less than 5000 rpm. i just put one in my civic along with a gsr tranny to daily drive and i really like it. its not a highway racecar by any means, but in and out of traffic its great

After I get my Z6/Y8 swap running I'm moving on to the B-series...most likely b20 because I want to build on a budget.

The b20 is great to drop into cars because they come out of a CRV and alot of civics are much lighter then the CRV so it is quite speedy. Then they can tap it so a vtec head can go on with the high hp and torque. They drop into the engine bay with small modification to the rear mount, and not to mention the motor mounts are pretty much the same. The hood closes well without some gay hood scoop and a hole in the hood. They are dohc and even stock have a great pull in civic
