Default why is the part # diffrent?

ok... i have a 90 si with a b20 and a hydro b16 in it (exedy stage1)... i pretty tired of the hydro conversion breaking every 3k miles. so i have an ls swap from a 1990 DA with everything. i was going to take the cable tranny and put it on the EF but i had to get someone a clutch one day and noticed something... exedy has a different part number for the 90 ls and say a 2000 Si. i called them up and asked why ( me thinking just because one is hydro and the other cable) the guy says the input shaft is 1 or 2 mm smaller...?
what? even 90 has a diffrent than 93... they are both cable... same 2mm or 1mm difference?
i can just swap clutches and flywheels over but i dont want to have to do that.

anyone know for sure?

88-91 cable trannies have a smaller input shaft then 92 and up b series. 92 and up cables are the same as hydros

only the clutch disks are different. pressure plates and flywheels should be interchangeable.
