Default Why is my VTEC bogging out at crossover?

Why is this happening...?Its set at 4100 and im running a boosted b17 bottom b16 head...Please anything will help at this point

because your vtec point is set way to low.

keep it OEM if you have stock cams.

you can lower your vtec point but that is too much. you're probably not getting enough fuel at that point. what are you using to get it that low? VAFC? tune it.

Im using Hondata...It was kicking in fine at about 4900...Should i set it there?

yes, my cousins blown b16 did the same thing. we set it at 4000 to see what it was like and blaaaaaaaaaaa. we hit it and there wasnt **** there. i talked to a honda technitian and he said it probably does it because either a. not enough fuel, or b. not enough oil pressure at such a low rpm. i dunno, we threw it up to 5100 and just left it there. if i were u , put it back at 4900

Better be careful with changing the cross over point cause my d16 did that right before it blew. I'd say take it to get dyno tuned and keep those settings.

I feel the only right way to safely and efficently change a vtec crossover is on a dyno, of course I'm extremely picky and conservative, there are some good threads in search.
