Do a little maintaince like you mentioned and see if that helps the problem. Cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter, and plug wires if they are old. The check engine light isn't on by chance is it?

My motor had similiar problems due to being too lean. It would hesitate for a second and then be okay. If your not runningthe stock ecu, and you do not know how lean it is running I would go to the dyno small price to pay could cause serious damage.

Do you have a fuel pressure guage? any kind of fuel management? how do you know it is running lean? is it pinging? checked plugs?

also a friendly warning take that Avatar off before you get a PM from a mod, people use this site at work and we don't need anyone getting in treble.

Give the car a good tune up and see what happens.

Add some oil. my GS-R did the exact same thing. I then added oil and it was fine.
