So I thought it was an oil leak from the distirbutor because I had it off... but then, that wasn't it because I don't see oil around the distirbutor...

Rear main seal? But how would the oil be accumulating in the middle of the tranny housing? This is a B16 btw...

possible rear main seal, is there an inspedtion plug oyu ccan remove too lok up in there?? clean the area and powder it, drive ti and see where the oil is coming form

 

No, I'd have to drop the exhaust manifold so I and drop a cover plate to look up there.

The thing is I cleaned it up once already... and havn't drive the car since... and it's still leaking. albit rather slowly... but enough to drip to the floor. The part that's throwing me off is that there's oil in the middle of the tranny by those bolts.

Strange.
It seems that there is oil coming from the top!

Do you have oil next to the vtec solenoid?
That could be the culprit.Or maybe from the cam cap seal.(The plastic cap behind the vtec solenoid)

Do you see the oil going low on your dipstick?
If not,maybe it's coming from the transmission.(The seals where the axle are.)Or even where the case split in half.

If none of the above,that must be you rear main seal.

 

check your axle and make sure its all the way in.
